Hello, it looks like Miraheze is shutting down by september (source). Nonciclopedia is there, and a bunch of other uncyclopedias too. I'm quite out of the loop, is it still feasible to transfer big wikis here? Icons-flag-it.png WEDHRO Ask the Moai!what? 03:27, 18 June 2023 (UTC)

Impossible, this server is not even handling the current uncyclopedias. We from Desciclopédia are suffering with daily bugs and glitches since April, and never receiving a word of support in 3 months. This place is abandoned. ABDUL ALHAZRED Salah, Zakāh, Ramadan, Hajj 04:06, 18 June 2023 (UTC)
By "a bunch of other uncyclopedias" I presume you mean only two of any importance - Arabic (Beidipedia) and Simplified Chinese? Carlb (talk) 05:33, 18 June 2023 (UTC)
I assumed there were more but I searched and I couldn't find more. Basically we're the only major uncyclopedia which is still not here.Icons-flag-it.png WEDHRO Ask the Moai!what? 05:52, 18 June 2023 (UTC)
As far as I know, the Simplified Chinese one locked itself into private mode due to internal conflicts, and there even was a user calling me for disqualifying the Simplified Chinese one from being recognized by UnMeta. What do you guys think about this issue?--Abcabc2 (talk) 07:10, 18 June 2023 (UTC)
Well, it looks like this problem is going to be tricky. 78Meow (Talk) 07:46, 18 June 2023 (UTC)
I'm not sure what the issue above is, exactly. Anyways, we're not going to kill Nonciclopedia, and nobody wants to make it unavailable in any other form, as long as there's a place where to move. If we can't find a place by September we risk losing everything, but nobody wants that. Icons-flag-it.png WEDHRO Ask the Moai!what? 07:54, 18 June 2023 (UTC)
I understand your position perfectly. There are two choices either UnMeta or where the Spanish and French versions went. I suggest you look for an administrator.
I leave the decision in your hands. I don't want to influence your choice as it should be discussed by the community. You may already be aware that here we are experiencing a change in the mediawiki version that made the entire UnMeta unstable. As an administrator here, it is up to me to give this advice, seeing that we are in mid-June and if the move here is agreed upon, all wikis will have to deal with the inconvenience of moving their sites.
On the other hand, we are already in the middle of June and September is a very short time. This conversation must be discussed and I am offering the options that you can give in response. Not the best answers but I know the need of the community. Rhubella selo-02.pngRhubella Marie, the rat sockpreppie 3,585 preppieditsRhubella selo-01.png 18:42, 18 June 2023 (UTC)

In any case, I'm not sure why you're claiming to be "the only major uncyclopedia which is not here". Of the active projects:
  • English (spoon) is independent on uncyclopedia.com
  • English-US (fork) has its own server on en.uncyclopedia.co - which is also hosting Spanish, French, Hebrew and German as well as en.illogicopedia
  • Brazil, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Thai are here (uncyclopedia.info), along with the Scandinavian countries. Dutch looks to be read-only and Turkish looks not to be accepting new users.
  • Polish (nonsa.pl) is independent. I do own the "nonsensopedia.org" domain, but that domain is merely a redirect.
  • Russian (fork - absurdopedia.net) and Olbanian (Russian spoon - absurdopedia.wiki) are each separate and independent.
  • Danish did try to go independent (spademanns.dk) but looks to be overgrown with spam; there's also a spademanns.org here which is little-used.
  • Arabic (inactive) and Simplified Chinese (no longer publicly readable) are the only others on Miraheze.
  • No uncyclopedias (that I know of) are on Wikia/FANDOOM or any other advertising-funded host. Spademann's (Danish) did survive Wikia's 2019 "all the news that doesn't offend the advertiser, we print" witch hunt, but has since been removed from that site.
  • In some cases, "whois" does show me as owning a domain but the domains actually point elsewhere - French, Spanish, Italian, Arabic for instance. If you do move, it might be a good idea to see if your new host lets you use your own domain, so that you remain nonciclopedia.org and not nonciclopedia.somewikifarm.org - leaving your position in the search engines intact.
