Uncyclomedia's goal is the spread and promotion of finely-honed idiocy throughout the free world. If you want to propose a new project under the umbrella of the Uncyclomedia Foundation which is in line with this goal, you can:

• If you are willing to take the blame for it, post it here.
• Otherwise, post it on the discussion page.

If you want to propose a new language for an existing project, please do so on requests for new languages.

Instructions

Read this as well as the "research" section below before proposing a new project.

• Create an account and a user page on this wiki, so people can address their questions to you.
• Add to the list below your project. Note: DO NOT quote yourself, just type your idea, sig timestamp it, and if your idea is accepted/rejected then you will be quoted. Oh, and you can vote for/against your own idea, but only after someone else has.
• When your project has 2 votes for, create a page where you describe your plan in, and add this to its own category, which is then added to category Uncyclomedia Foundation.

Research

Note: Uncyclomedia is not a haven for freeloading bastards like you, too cheap to pony up the dough for a hosting company. If your project doesn't fit the ideals of Uncyclomedia you'll just have to open your moth-ridden pockets and pay for a wiki hosting site such a wikidev.net or Wikia or host it on your own.

Your idea may also be too lame to stand on its own feet, and may be better suited for expanding an existing project.

Neciklopedija, Serbian Uncyclopedia

I'm surprised there is no serbian version of Uncyclopedia! Even the parody has serbian version, to be more precise - three versions. I sugest a serbian version of Uncyclopedia wich shoud be called "Neciklopedija" or even better "Нециклопедија", or "Антиклопедија" (Antiklopedija). I would like to start it my own but your "manual" is so farking confusing and unserbian. UnMapia

A parody of WikiMapia. WikiMapia allows users to browse, edit and add layers on a Google Map with usefull info. Why not create something like that with info taken from Uncyclopedia? I can't provide you a namespace on Uncyclopedia. You should ask Wikia Staff by the community mail to have a new namespace. I know Wikia might ignore that, but you can always give it a try. Now for UnSource, there is a version in Desgalipedia (Uncyclopedia Galician) named Desgalifontes. However, the new proposal appears to be innovative for the project. The style of the site is identical to a wiki... I think we can simply copy the wiki code.

Apparently, some documents are transcribed as articles with wiki code. I do not think be difficult to create satirical versions of that content. On the other hand, I noticed a related article on Belgium which only appears if you have involved some application such as Adobe. Student support

I got this idea after reading Book 1 of Percy Jackson: his teacher told him to read "Tom Sawyer", and he read a resume in the Internet. The purpose of this wiki is educational, and a little bit evil: to present resumes of classical books, that most students must read, to help them get "A" or "10" in Literature, without having to read the books. Of course, the wiki would have its educational purpose spoiled if the student could easily find that the resume was hosted in a humorous site, like Uncyclopedia or Desciclopédia, so the alternative - hosting those resumes in those wikis - would be pointless. Of course, the resumes should be as close to the real book as possible, however, they should have enough false information as to make the student that uses it to get a nice "F" or "0", and learn that books should be read. See a correlated idea that worked very nice: the Tolkien sarcasm page and how a lazy "journalist" screwed up badly because he didn't want to read the f book. Cthulhu.fhtagn 22:48, 2 April 2011 (UTC)

They sound too made up. If I were you, I would look into the real words for things and parse them together. For example, when I was younger, I diagnosed my little brother with "neuroplegia." Odysseus (Latin: Ulixes) was a character of Homer's Odyssea Book, in which the protagonist travels a lot through Greece to finish quests so he could return to his family. • Surely we need a parody of Wikivoyage, but I don't think a separate domain is needed. I'd rather see it like UnBooks/Undictionary/HowTo etc. - in an existing larger community. Also note that geographical dependency of articles (meaning "contributor from one city won't be able to add much to an article about another city") will make quality control very hard. Even non-English Wikivoyages don't have large enough communities for that. Also, if we have only 3 contributors, our parody will be about 3-10 cities only. Maybe 50 articles top - and little to no way to attract new users. With <50 articles, being a subproject like HowTo (referred from the main page and proposed to new users) is much better.
