This looks to have been caused by a PHP "upgrade". MW 1.31.1 is *not* happy with the latest PHP 7.4 - an issue which will likely go away (and replaced by other problems) once MW is updated to the current version. Carlb (talk) 03:10, 17 November 2020 (UTC)

Unable to view images

After the server has been messing up around for a few days, image thumbs cannot be generated properly, which makes most of the images on a regular page become broken, but direct access of images is still okay.--Abcabc2 (talk) 07:21, 17 November 2020 (UTC)

I presume that you're viewing this from zh-tw: which is already on the new version (MW1.35) along with fi: ja: th: meta: at the moment. UnCommons and UnData are still on the old MW 1.31.1 - which is creating compatibility problems as the supposed "upgrade" is adding and removing fields from the database tables in some incompatible manner. That's returning this sort of garbage instead of a thumbnail image on the affected wikis:

P.S.: I only looked at the Morpheus userpage after sending the message above. The error on his page is not the error that is reported in this topic. It is an internal error of MediaWiki:

Unfortunately, anything which contains Javascript can create these "blank white screen" problems on login if a MW "upgrade" breaks that code; Usuário:(username)/Common.js, Usuário:(username)/Vector.js, Usuário:(username)/Monobook.js (if user has selected Monobook in preferences), gadgets, whatever. URGENT: UnData

I have noticed that both Desgalipedia and other updated wikis in the new version of MediaWiki have lost the gateway to UnData. Another problem, apparently UnData is outdated in this new system. And even with administrator powers, without a gateway I can edit directly on the wiki. It is urgently necessary to update all updated wikis in relation to UnData as well as to offer a safe way for sysops and users to edit in UnData regarding the possibilities of vandalism. KeyCaptcha looks to have been abandoned by its creators, with mw:extension:KeyCAPTCHA archived long ago. It can be patched to sort-of-work up to MW 1.31 (the last actual support was MW 1.18) but on the current MW versions it just lets everything through, without even prompting with a captcha - hence the need to switch to something else, like hCaptcha. Malucopédia looks to be back. Those errors usually appear if the database is on one MW version and the MW code is expecting the other. There's a maintenance script on the server (update.php) which is supposed to make the conversion, but the process is being slow and very buggy. Carlb (talk) 22:44, 19 November 2020 (UTC)

I've changed extensions/HAWelcome/i18n/en.json to default to "welcome-user": "@disabled" - not sure why this only started appearing after the upgrade, as we had the extension before? Carlb (talk) 00:55, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
We could simply @disable this bot. We will discuss how to bring it back in a more proper way later, when the main problems were solved, like the missed articles and the two bureaucrats (Agome and Morpheus) who can't login. There were modifications in our copy of mw:extension:EditCount to allow for things like pt:DP:EvilRank which aren't supported by the standard version of the extension. Those modifications will need to be done again if we want the "this tyrannical administrator has murdered (n) defenceless pages" userboxes to work again, as we're back to the standard version after the "upgrade". MediaWiki namespace problem

I found some sites have lost their sidebar content and its whole history, such as mk:MediaWiki:sidebar (already deleted and created again), la:MediaWiki:sidebar and cy: MediaWiki:sidebar, while they have not been modified recently. URGENT: Please add DynamicFunctions back

For {{#ip:}}, Could you please install "Extension:UserFunctions" instead of "Extension:DynamicFunctions"? In JA-UCP, {{#ip:}} are called in many pages. If you may install it, please enable {{#ip:}} in all namespaces.--えふ氏 15:52, 22 November 2020 (UTC)

Search-Box Error at JA-UCP

  • "Use Legacy Vector" is checked at Special:Preferences.　個人設定で「Use Legacy Vector」をチェックしている
  • Table of contents is generated.　目次が生成されている
  • Not include <ref><references />annotations.　ref,referencesによる注釈が無い
  • Not include mw-collapsible. mw-collapsibleによる折り畳み表示が無い
  • Not include {{#stamplogo:}} and {{#setlogo:}} {{#stamplogo:}}や{{#setlogo:}}を使用していない（ロゴ画像入れ替えが無い）

Robot.txt problem or Google may ban JA-UCP

Ja-UCP is suffering "No information is available" issues with google search. "robot.txt" article in JA-UCP may cause this issue, but this article has located under /wiki directory and may not cause any effect with eitire pages, if google's document is right. --Lomax (talk) 04:07, 20 August 2022 (UTC)(a.k.a Lemmingdead)
