Athyria has been very active on UnMeta last time and has proven she will be an advantage for this project. Why an advantage? A: She has better knowledge about coding than the average. B: She wants to do something on this project and make it better.

Initially, Roye7777777 was appointed to become sysop to help to free UnMeta of spam. He has nice ideas about design and has been active on UnMeta's community. I want to ratify his adminship by a democratic process.

Athyria has good means, but I feel sorry for her arrogant way of communicating and I don't like her indirect/ironical claim that I'm not suitable to lead Uncyclomedia wikis in a proper way. She doesn't recognise my work I've done on the wikis I'm active on. She doesn't recognise my authority when I advise to tell her what not to do. This doesn't mean her actions are necessarily wrong, but they come on the wrong moment and sometimes on the wrong place. I also refer to the same reasons per Rhubella.
I hate to say this, but that is precisely the attitude that makes me question you. What authority is that, exactly? You're a steward here, nothing more; that is what admins do on wikis, and while what you have done so far for UnMeta and Uncyclomedia is commendable and I'm grateful for all our sakes, that does not give you the right to dictate policy any more than what I have done for en-uncyc gives me the right to dictate policy there (and if I tried, we might get to see our first serious deopping of an active admin in years... although it's more likely I'd just be mocked into submission). That said, it would go a long way toward restoring confidence in your abilities if you would simply be more open to discussing things yourself, and when you do, actually listen. Consider what people have to say. This especially applies the larger changes and decisions, and especially in regards to things where you already said you would. What I am asking of you is the same as I would as of any admin, or, for that matter, any user. ~ Pointy.png 15:06, 5 December 2011

  5. I have seen no plausible reason for not giving this user a chance. Getting a cool down ban after nice words like "go fuck yourself" and multiple requests for a change in this behavior seems only a fitting action for an admin to do. Wkr, Alzheimlich (talk) 21:24, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
Alz, the point is that Athyria wasn't admin on UnMeta when she gave the cool ban on IRC. There was disrespect for the situation of the user rights here | Cartoonist | Spit it out (talk) | E-mail | UnMeta | 11:30, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
That realy doesn't make a difference to me. The situation required a ban. The problem then lies in who gave the mod status there to a person who isn't a mod here or who made the channel an official meta channel when it is/was not? The ban was not the problem, the ban was the only way to go in a situation where one person in being unreasonable and rude multiple times without changing this behavior when asked to do so. 'a disrespect for user rights' sounds like people with a bit should be treated like they were some kind of kings. Imho the real disrespect of user rights is having them but not behaving like an example to other users. Wkr, Alzheimlich (talk) 13:43, 5 December 2011 (UTC) 13:38, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
Actually, to be fair, it's pretty normal for official IRC channels to have different ops than the wikis they represent. Different people tend to be more active on each, or around, or whatnot. In this case it's more just that #unmeta predates the presence of most of the people currently active here, though. ~ Pointy.png 15:06, 5 December 2011

  1. D. G. Neree (talk) 00:34, 2 December 2011 (UTC) There was a discussion on IRC this evening and when Athyria didn't like what i said, even though i was talking to another person and never engaged in a conversation with him, he blocked me from the discussion without warning, even though i didn't kow who he was or where he came from. Therefore i say that this person is not fit to be an admin. I object strongly to his nomination. What has he ever done for this site? I have the impression that a take-over is taking place and that this is not taking place in an honest way. Let people take over, is my opinion, but not in a sneaky way like this, which shows their intentiontions as purely egotistical and power hungry. Roye, you say that you can't vote for yourself, but that is a lie. Do you believe in yourself or not? If so, you should vote for yourself. If not, then be gone and shame on you. Do you believe in yourself? Or in some one else? If you nominate yourself and vote for another person, what is your own nomination worth? No trust in your own worth? than step out of the race yourself. D. G. Neree (talk) 00:46, 2 December 2011 (UTC)

And what is this poll anyway? Are we choosing 2 admins or choosing one over the other? D. G. Neree (talk) 00:52, 2 December 2011 (UTC)
Also i believe that there is a sudden rush over people who want to become admin over a site where nothing is really happening. There is Zombiebaron too. What are their intentions with this? Isn't the purpose of being admin to fight vandalism? Is there so much vandalism here? No. It is just a personal status game and that is why i obkect to these nominations. Let Athyria and zombiebaron explain why they want the sysopstatus. What are their plans for the site? D. G. Neree (talk) 01:02, 2 December 2011 (UTC).
  • I do not remember Zombiebaron being appointed to the position. However, about the vandalism, I think Royeee have been aware of the wave of attacks that we suffered in recent months. There was no reason for this abuse of power on this mutual unmeta channel (i don't know who regstered it) and the sheer arrogance of this perons actions show his incompetence of handling even the most simple situation, namely a conversation. Therefore i restate my objection for his nomination. He is showing the same mentality that has fucked up the atmosphere on Uncyclopdia, namely, the arrogance of people who hold power in accordance with their own low standards of tolerance, while they claim absolute tolerance for their own degraded sense of humor.D. Unfortunately, I have to stay neutral on this case because DGNeree reported by taking into account that do not participate in the IRC channel of UnMeta. I can not get an honest opinion on this case. However, the user collaborative Athyria has been shown in the matter of changing our main pages and has helped me in the modifications of the codes that I am importing the Meta addition to other work in other wikis, I think it is the right person for the position of administrator. This behaviour at IRC yesternight was to feel ashamed from, something did break the shelf directly. First I heared stories like banning a bureaucrat of UnMeta, of UnMeta's IRC itself. First of all, it is in my opinion in all situations inacceptable and turn-the-world-upside-down , a situation that the same is like choosing your own direction, which is either forbidden in the Penal Code. That has nothing to do with it, but lets go on. I can understand that people got mad and tired of answering the same question over one thoulliard times, but ask for calmness, so far as I can remember, nobody did that, besides me. I have to read the history of that talk though, to confirm that.
After I followed the whole talk, I knew - besides the fact that it HAD the possibility to end good and they lived long and happy after all - this was going to end wrong - I've already quitted before this bumping all happened. This whole night was getting ruined because some got rough. Answering the same question over three times so far I know, by getting rude at the Dutch-langued side. This made me kind of despondent towards them, and I realised - this case with Uncyclopedia-banning is not going to finish - it will not get solved. That's sad. It was used for exchange with those admin-rights, and something with "good-will" that already semt far away... One word that would summerize all of this is suspicion, because of that past with those bans (for those who don't know where the hell I am talking about, never mind).
So far I lost where I was with this reaction, and what I was going to tell. Anyway, I want to have order, while I for now already know that it is going to be very, very, VERY hard for those. Shame on it. Roye7777777 ~ Talk 15:49, 2 December 2011 (UTC)

Summary of my (somewhat neutral) opnion about this. Please read all of it carefully:

  1. I understand DG's point that this Uncyclopedian relationship with UnMeta should affect our banishments on Uncyclopedia. We will tollerate two admins from Uncyclopedia, but what do we get in return? I think there is definitely something to negociate about, because it's very likely that Olipro and ChiefJusticeDS won't feel any need to unblock us. I will try to reach these Uncyc admins, but I'm really pessimistic about results because I always get banned from the Uncyclopedia channel before having said one single word. Still when I promised to not begin about Wikia, this message is not heard. As I haven't insight in their activity on irc, I won't spend my time on /msg-ing them. Olipro and Chief are invited to negociate about our bans here on UnMeta. They don't have to fear anything, I won't ban them (I'm not revengeful). If we are unbanned, I will start with a new chapter.
  2. I feel sorry for D. G. Neree 's resign, because I hoped to pick up the thread with him again this evening. I will, however, try to negociate about his ban on Uncyc too.
  3. IRC: In my eyes, it was strange that Zombiebaron (admin on irc since the start of UnMeta) gave Athyria admin rights on the channel #unmeta, while Athyria is not an admin yet. This suspected him of favoritism. But it shocked a lot more that D. G. Neree got banned there by Athyria. I agree DG's way of approach was not the friendliest way, but still, that didn't give Athyria the right to ban him, simply because Athyria is not an admin here yet. Zombiebaron acted like an independent bureaucrat and opped Athyria without a community consensus. It's not rightful nor democratic. However I appreciate a lot that I and Roye7777777 have been opped on IRC and I want to thank him for that, but this should have happened a lot earlier.
  4. Athyria will (against all odds) be elected for sysop because she has proven through her recent activity that she is worth the permission. I'm always assuming good faith, even when I don't agree with all of her opinions. I think UnMeta can use some variety in opinions, that's part of the democracy here. I will decide about Zombiebaron 's adminship, after Alzheimlich will have said something about this. I give him maximum a week to reply. If he won't do so, I will cut the knot (adminship approval). Personally I don't see the need of 2 admins from Uncyc regardless the controversial situation, but he still has his right for claim from the past, which I can't deny.

This is my personal point of view based on facts and history. I want to obtain the best solution for this matter and I want to thank you for your patience. Kisses | Cartoonist | Spit it out (talk) | E-mail | UnMeta | 21:58, 2 December 2011 (UTC)

Unfortunately, section 3 makes it susceptible to change my opinion on this case. In the past, I was the victim of certain situations in my old home uncy. Things like that do not wish to see more. I voted for because of the excellent Athyria, however, I see that my trial could be harmed by a situation that saw noted in the past. Please see the logs; if you still think I acted in error, what would you have done in that situation? ~ Pointy.png 07:46, 3 December 2011
I have read the log completely after I left, and I have to say/conclude that it was a right decision, besides the things that I've said above. It was getting nowhere, swearing and not or almost not cooperating. What Rhubella said, is something that was spooking around my mind. Since the relationships aren't very solid with en-nl, this was one and all an exchange "in preserve of good will". Well, now it's waiting for another week for Alzheimlich to speak about Zombiebaron, viva la bureaucracy. Roye7777777 ~ Talk 10:52, 3 December 2011 (UTC)
Again: I feel sorry for the way DG approaches his opponents. However, Athyria still had no right to ban DG, because she isn't admin yet. #unmeta is entirely part of UnMeta wiki and I expect the situation on the wiki to be respected on IRC too (which includes you may not have permissions that you don't have on the wiki). Even if I were an op on that moment, I would not ban him because of Athyria's "behaviour rules", just because there are no rules. I state the rules till the new policy will be approved. So no, I wouldn't have done the same. Let people speak, ramble, insult, whatever they like to do. If you don't like the speach, just don't listen to it. Athyria's action was a lot like - like they call it in French - a cordon sanitaire. Locking people out, just because you don't agree with them (even when they're emotional). I hope she will not do similar actions when she will be a sysop here | Cartoonist | Spit it out (talk) | E-mail | UnMeta | 14:20, 3 December 2011 (UTC)
What I have to say, I think I should Cartoonist scold me in the past using the MSN channel of my site was used by native groups who were trying at all costs hinder the votes that took place. Unfortunately, it was a group of people who tried at all costs implode the former site of the bureaucracy. Well, I will not bother most users of old, taking into account that do not do the first part of that community and the second between the administration of Desciclopédia and Desgalipedia should return the respect. However what I have to say is that even a user demonstrates some sort of disagreement that is no reason for a banishment. I believe that democracy in any channel that take our name, that is, the Uncyclomedia should be respected to any person and any opinion.
